Objectives
Key objectives of AWED include the following towards realizing the above goal while implementing various development schemes in its targeted areas.
Organize the unorganized women as active Self Help Groups
Reduce poverty by inculcate leadership and entrepreneurship skills among the rural women
Enabling families to support their children’s education
Impart vocational skills to enable the target women set up profitable micro enterprises
Ensure higher degree of participation of various stakeholders by imparting appropriate trainings
Improve reproductive and maternal health of women
Contribute for total environmental sanitations
Promote individual household latrines to totally eliminate the open air defecation
Address school and community hygiene issues
Promote safe drinking water handling practices and increase accessibility to water point installations
To promote organic farming and livelihood of poor famers
To protect and promote environmental health and bio diversity
To protect and promote herbal and natural medicine
To work for the wholistic development of tribal communities
